About SGD

Founded in 2003 by its owners and Directors Stuart Gill & Stephen Geraghty who between them have over 30 years’ experience in the electrical / lighting trade.

Since 2007 SGD has been based in Ashbourne Co. Meath. In 2017, SGD expanded its headquarters to a 20,000 sq foot warehouse and 8,000 feet of office space. SGD prides itself on offering next day delivery on the island of Ireland and a 48hr delivery to the UK, no matter what time the order is placed.

Our brands Eclipse and Source are constantly expanding to offer innovative quality products that are easily installed at competitive prices.

Having established itself in Ireland, SGD launched a sales team in the UK in 2011, offering quality products electricians can use with confidence. SGD’s success is based on building relationships with its customers and delivering on its promises of competitive high-quality products.

The Source LED brand was founded by SGD to distinguish between electrical part of the profile and the LED range. Since launching in 2012 Source has become a leading brand in the fast-developing LED market.

Source offers value for money without compromising on quality while delivering new products constantly to the market.

Eclipse

The Eclipse Brand was founded along with SGD in 2003; originally it was the sole brand for the company. It was used on all electrical accessories and fittings. This has moved on to the weatherproof outdoor range, smoke detector range, both IP65 and IP55 Junction boxes and internal downlights.

The Eclipse brand stands for reliable quality products that are easy to use for the both the electrical profession as well as the end user.
